Аннотация
Великий математик и астроном Иоганн Кеплер (1571–1630) стал героем трех опер: «Гармония мира» Пауля Хиндемита (1957), «Кеплер» Филипа Гласса (2009) и «Процесс Кеплера» Тима Уаттса (2016). Все эти произведения можно отнести к типу «опер о людях искусства» (Künstleroper), поскольку Кеплер был искусным стихотворцем (в статье цитируются стихи Кеплера в авторском переводе с латинского), а его космологические идеи развивали пифагорейскую копцепцию «гармонии сфер» — звучащей Вселенной. Жизнь Кеплера складывалась очень драматично и протекала на фоне религиозных войн и порождаемых ими жестоких бедствий. В статье рассматриваются особенности драматургии, композиции и музыкального языка трех опер, по-разному отражающих факты биографии Кеплера, его личность, исторический фон эпохи и взаимоотношения с близкими (тема процесса над матерью Кеплера, обвиненной в ведовстве и спасенной великим сыном от сожжения на костре, стала центральной темой оперы Уаттса). Поскольку новая постановка оперы Хиндемита состоялась в Линце в 2017 г., все три произведения представляют музыкальный театр XXI столетия, в котором традиционный романтический конфликт героя и общества приобретает новый смысл, одновременно символический и злободневный.

Abstract
The great mathematician and astronomer Johannes Kepler (1571–1630) became the main hero of three operas: Paul Hindemith’s Harmony of the World (1957), Philip Glass’s Kepler (2009), and Tim Watts’s Kepler’s Trial (2016). All of these works can be classified as “operas about artists” (Künstleroper), because Kepler was also a skillful poet (the article quotes Kepler's poems in the author's translation from Latin), and his cosmological ideas developed the Pythagorean concept of the “harmony of the spheres”. Kepler’s life was marked by dramatic events and religious wars, leading to widespread violence and suffering. The article examines the features of the dramaturgy, composition, and musical language of three operas that reflect the facts of Kepler's biography, his personality, the historical background of the era, and his relationships with his family (the trial of Kepler’s mother, who was accused of witchcraft and saved by her great son from being burned alive, became the central theme of Watts’s opera). Since a new production of Hindemith’s opera took place in Linz in 2017, all three works represent the musical theatre of the 21st century, where the traditional romantic conflict between the hero and society takes on a new meaning that is both symbolic and relevant.
