The quarterly scientific journal of the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, “OPERA MUSICOLOGICA” was founded in October 2009, ISSN 2075–4078, to give a comprehensive coverage of research activities by leading domestic and foreign scientists. The journal publishes scientific articles, documents and reviews (for books, sheet music, audio and video recordings) with a special focus on previously unpublished archival materials. The subject area: theory and history of music; musical performance; Musical Theatre; philosophy, aesthetics and sociology of music; musical education in art history specialties 17.00.02 “Musical art” and 17.00.09 “Theory and history of art”.
